Bishop Michael Celebrates Patronal Feast with East Meadow Faithful
Visit coincides with community’s temple anniversary celebration

His Grace, Bishop Michael was warmly welcomed by the clergy and faithful of Holy Trinity to celebrate 50 years of worship in the present church building on June 2-3, 2012. The weekend festivities coincided with the parish’s patronal feast of Pentecost, and included the special liturgical blessings and recognition for service to Christ’s holy church. Read more


Holy Trinity Orthodox Church to celebrate 50th Anniversary of Present Church Building

On Saturday, June 2, 2012 and Sunday, June 3, 2012 His Grace, Bishop Michael of New York and New Jersey will lead parishioners in celebrating the Great Feast of Pentecost here at Holy Trinity. In addition, the weekend will be an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the construction and consecration of our present church building which was completed in 1962. As part of the celebration, a festive banquet will be held. Tickets for the all-you-can eat meal ($30 adults / $13 kids under 13) can be purchased by sending your reservations and payment to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 369 Green Ave, East Meadow, NY 11554.

Bishop Michael Celebrates Presanctified Liturgy in East Meadow

His Grace, Bishop Michael of New York and New Jersey celebrated the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts here, on Wednesday, March 7. The visit was His Grace’s second to Holy Trinity since becoming the diocesan hierarch. Read more


Youth Make Festal Candles and Icons for Homebound Parishioners

The Church School Association organized a fellowship and service get-together on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 for the youth and teens of the parish. They gathered to roll beeswax candles and mount icon prints before having dinner and attending the festal vigil together. Read more


New Senior Program Features Home Cooking and Fellowship

Nearly a dozen senior members of Holy Trinity gathered for fellowship on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Those in attendance were served home-cooked meal courtesy the parish’s Sisterhood organization and spent a couple hours playing games together. Read more


Holy Trinity Church School Provides Gifts to Hospitalized Children

For the 54th consecutive year, the youth and teens of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church here presented the parish’s annual Christmas program. Incorporating scripture readings, liturgical hymns, traditional carols, and a stage filled with costumed children, the program proclaims the message of Jesus Christ’s birth at Christmas. Read more


Holy Trinity Parishioners Walk In Park To Stop Hunger

Members of Holy Trinity Church here spent the morning of Saturday, October 15, 2011 walking in Eisenhower Park to raise monies to overcome poverty. The event, in its second year, is done in cooperation with Church World Service’s CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Hunger Walk program. Read more


Holy Trinity Choir Members Honored for Dedicated Service

Eighteen members of the Holy Trinity Church choir were recognized here on Sunday, October 2 by His Grace, Bishop Michael of New York as part of the diocese’s first choir recognition Sunday. Certificates of appreciation and St. Romanos pins were presented by Father Martin Kraus, rector, on behalf of Bishop Michael. Read more


Holy Trinity Church Hosts Open House

Members of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church here remembered those who perished on September 11, 2001 with a memorial service on Saturday, September 10. The service was a highlight of the parish’s Open House which was organized as a way to introduce the parish to the local community. Read more

Easter Celebration at East Meadow Orthodox Church

On Sunday, April 24 at 12 noon, members of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church here will continue the celebration of Easter which began at midnight last night. The service today will feature hymns, special prayers, and an outdoor procession announcing the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Read more


Orthodox Easter Celebration Begins with Outdoor Procession at Midnight

Members of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church here will make a candle-lit procession around the exterior of their church just before midnight tonight, singing a hymn in honor of Christ’s resurrection. When they reach the front doors of the church, Father Martin Kraus, rector, will proclaim “Christ is risen!” and everyone will respond “Truly, He is risen!” and the Orthodox Christian celebration of Easter will begin. Good Friday Burial Service To Be Held At East Meadow Orthodox Church

A large image portraying the burial of Jesus Christ will be placed in the middle of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church here as part of Good Friday services beginning at 2:30 pm today. Considered the most solemn day on the Christian calendar, Good Friday commemorates the death and burial of Jesus Christ. Read more
